Known to have great voice and vocals, Melody G. Enero, Teacher II of Zamboanga del Norte National High School - Senior High School Department was chosen as part of the Sing Philippines Youth Choir (SPYC) that competed in Busan, South Korea for the Busan Choral Festival and Competition last October 19-22, 2022.
SPYC was one of the delegations from the Philippines that joined the international invitation of BCFC for the year 2022. However noted that the pandemic has halted the usual competition, the festival is back again this year for singers and choirs worldwide to perform their chosen best pieces. This is part of the festival's aim to promote cultural exchange and high-quality music.
In an interview with ZNNHS Official, Enero said that their team was focused on preparing for the competition. Their team manager advised a social media detox with the goal to win while in Busan.
SPYC won second place in Classical/Mix Category with the gold diploma. The team was conducted by Mark Anthony Carpio with 40 members in the choir.
"ZNNHS is truly proud of Teacher Melody. Looking forward to more accolades she will have in the future as she is truly talented with now a world-class recognition," said one of the teachers.
The festival was held in South Korea's second-largest city in Busan, known to have the busiest ports in the country, and the 6th busiest in the world.
