Dipolog City Mayor Darel Dexter T. Uy in his speech expressed support for the Department of Education-Schools Division of Dipolog City’s opening of school programs during the Brigada Kick-off Ceremony held at the host school Zamboanga del Norte National High School-Turno Campus on August 9.
According to the city mayor, he assured that as long as he is the mayor of Dipolog, DepEd will expect full support from the City Government of Dipolog. He encouraged 100 percent vaccination among learners and teachers for safety back to school; he also emphasized the values of cooperation, camaraderie, and volunteerism.
“We are partners in preparing our children and you for the important role that they have in the better future that is ahead of us all,” Mayor Uy ended his speech.
The city mayor led this Brigada 2022 Kick-off, along with the DepEd-Dipolog partners and officials, stakeholders, school heads, teachers, parents, PTA Officials, community representatives, and volunteers. It was an occasion that enjoined the delightful participation of said Brigada volunteers. It was also graced by the presence of Mr. Crispo V. Gahisan, SEPS-SMN, SGOD Chief Nur N. Hussien, Councilor Marilou Y. Calibo, and other dignitaries from the schools' division office.
“Brigada Eskwela: Tugon sa Hamon ng Ligtas na Balik-Aral” is this year’s theme. ZNNHS is still presently encouraging stakeholders and Brigada volunteers to visit and extend some helping hands to prepare for the opening of classes, come August 22.
