Honorable Mayor Darel Dexter T. Uy with City Engineer Susan Ualat formally turned-over DepEd Dipolog City Division’s Library Hub and Zamboanga del Norte National High School Media Center at Turno Campus last August 12, 2020.

The turn-over was warmly welcomed and accepted by the Schools Division Superintendent Mr. Virgilio P. Batan, Jr., Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Mr. Jay S. Montealto, personnel from the Division Office, ZNNHS School Principals Mr. Adrian G. Refugio, Mr. Dexter A. Elumba and Mr. Glenn Cunahap with the ZNNHS former ZNNHS-TEA president Mrs. Lilia Balansag, faculty, staff and stakeholders.

Building inspection followed to check the fully-finished two-storey building that has the Library Hub on the first floor and ZNNHS Media Center on the second floor. It took 12 years to finally make the edifice good as done.

The building has withstood quite long years to finally get through its final completion phase. This could be traced back from the willed visions of the-then School Librarian Mrs. Doris Patangan-Wallin whose archive of documents explicitly showed how much work of hands and funds had contributed to this project.

The library is the heart of the school. It is where the nurturing of the reading habits and skills of learners take place. On the other hand, a media center is a facility that is able to meet the demands of technologically-inclined 21st-century learners. Hence, their importance can never be underestimated.

Dipolog City Division and ZNNHS expect an influx of learners who wish to use these facilities comes face-to-face when the pandemic is over.
